Coat Closet Makeover

We’ve been living in our home for just about three years now and I feel like I haven’t completed a home improvement project to its entirety. That ends this year. At the top of my goal list (aside from growing MB) is to go room by room and finish all of the little projects I have started but never fully finished, I’m so excited for you to join me on this little adventure. It’s going to take time, and a lot of effort on my part to stay focused but I’m ready to finally do this thing.

First up on the project list: our dingy coast closet. This closet is in the hallway (if you can even call it that) between the kids bedrooms and the bathroom. It’s been a place to hang large jackets, a storage space, a workout closet, all the things but none of them have ever completely filled a need. That’s where the linen closet idea came in to play. Before this closet upgrade our towels and linens were stacked in the extra closet we have off our kitchen. Honestly, we would just pile them in there and hope the door shut … real adult like ha! Now there’s a designated space for all of our sheets, towels, and blankets. We also got rid of a lot of things we weren’t using which felt so great! So, without further adieu here is the before and afters of this space.

Next up our kids’ (guest) bath! Let me know what you think about how it turned out in the comments below! Black shelves are we digging them?
